This is by far the most commons question we get. It depends on several factors. First, how much information you provide to the government. Second, is the fraud able to proven in court. Also, and most importantly, how big the fraud was.
It is possible for the relators (what a whistleblower is called in court) to obtain up to 30% of the money that the government recovered. In cases where the government has been defrauded out of millions of dollars, this can mean a large payout for our clients.
